Qasim M. Mirza, MD, is a board-certified pulmonary critical care specialist with Keck Medicine of USC. He specializes in lung transplant, pulmonary hypertension and advanced lung disease.
In his practice, Dr. Mirza treats each patient with the utmost compassion and empathy. For him, each interaction is an opportunity to ensure that they feel supported and understood.
Dr. Mirza earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. At Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, he completed his residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Afterward, he stayed on to complete another fellowship in lung transplantation.
Dr. Mirza serves as an associate professor of clinical medicine within the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine for the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and his research interests focus on advancing lung transplantation as well as treatments for pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease. He is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mirza enjoys spending time with family, traveling and exploring new cuisines.
